Project Manager/Chief of Security - NM (CSPS)

Job Title: Project Manager/Chief of Security Department: Security Services Contract Reports To: Director of Operations FLSA Status: Regular Full-time Exempt SummaryThe Project Manager/Chief of Security (PM/CS) is the central point of authority and responsibility for all activities associated with armed and unarmed contract guard services on specific programs. The PM/CS is responsible for implementing corporate policies and procedures through key management personnel at the job sites. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesHas complete authority over assigned personnel to ensure the accomplishment of quality work. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position• Assures that all provisions of the contract are clearly understood by subordinate managers and by the personnel actually performing the work.• Administers the contract through transition and/or phase-in activities.• Plans and directs all work within the Contract Management Office.• Establishes policies and procedures at the Contract Management Office level.• Modifies the organization as needed.• Ensures personnel and other adequate resources are available to satisfy the needs of the contract.• Interfaces with customer personnel.• Ensures timely submission of all contractually required reports.• Required to implement and support the Safety Management System and ensure that all company personnel adhere to all applicable safety policies, and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.• May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.• Other duties may be assigned.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education/Experience• Minimum of a Bachelors in Criminal Justice, law enforcement, criminal justice or a related discipline or a minimum of ten (10)years experience in law enforcement or a security related area.• Previously fully commissioned by a local LEA. • Three (3) years of progressively responsible general experience gained in analytical decision making and administrative work and activities. • Three (3) years of law enforcement or security-related supervisory responsibility. • Knowledge of criminal law and traffic code regulations and legal applications relative to the state specific site. • Knowledge and/or experience in project management and business rules. • Other Skills• Strong personnel management skills; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.• Superior knowledge, analytical, persuasion, and problem solving skills relative to health, safety, environmental, and business matters.• Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks simultaneously.• Capable of assimilating and critically evaluating information.Language Skills:The ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. To ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations• U.S. Citizen• Valid state drivers• DOD Secret Security Clearance• Federal, State, local, or military service approved recognized basic law enforcement or physical security academy certificate.Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
