Security Guard

 Security Guards needed for all shifts at the following locatuons:Washington, DCHerndon, VaReston, VaFrederick, Md

 

STARTING PAY IS $16.95 PER HOUR and includes vacation pay, holiday pay, sick pay and

health insurance supplement. The following are the requirements that must be met to be

considered for employment with this client:

 Must possess a high school diploma or equivalentMust possess (a) two years of full-time law enforcement experience, military

  police experience, or elite military forces experience, or (b) be police academy

  trained, or (c) otherwise provide evidence of security experience in a like security

  role, responsibility, and environment, such as a Bachelor's degree in Criminal

  Justice or Security Management.Must have experience demonstrating the following:

  1. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and interact in a professional

 manner with members of the public.

2.  Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable, and accurate

  manner to members of the public.

3.  Ability to read, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders,

  instructions, and training materials, which are in English.

 4.Ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.

 5.Ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports.

6.Ability to use a personal computer and utilize various software programs

  including Wordperfect and Word for Windows.Must be able to possess a solid and verifiable employment history which must be

  verifiable for the past seven years, including any alleged unemployment or gap in

  employment of 30 days or greater.Must hold the local jurisdictional (MD or DC or VA) licensing requirements.Must be able to pass a Background Investigation with no record or conviction.Must demonstrate the ability to meet and deal with the general public, client

  employees, visitors, the media, outside law enforcement agencies; remain calm

  under pressure; and make quick sound decisions.Must have the ability to read, write, understand, and adhere to rules, orders,

instructions, checklists, and written training materials. All training materials and

  instructions are written in English only.Must have the ability to construct and write clear and concise, accurate and

detailed reports.Must have acceptable proficiency in the use of MS Office site applications and

security related technology.Must present a positive appearance that reflects good personal grooming habits.Must be capable of performing moderate to arduous physical exertion, including

  without limitation the following activities:

1.   Standing or walking for eight hours,

 2. Climbing multiple building stories,

3. Lifting or carrying objects up to 50 pounds,

4.   Running short distances,

5. Possess binocular vision correctable to 20/20.

6. Be able to discriminate stand colors,

 7. Be able to hear ordinary conversation at 20 feet and whispered conveersation at

10 feet with each ear.Free from addiction to, or use of, illicit drugs, as determined by a NIDA=certified

  urinalysis drug screen reviewed by a Medical Review Officer.Must successfully pass a credit check.
