Reports to: Tribal Law Enforcement Supervisor



OPPORTUNITY:  This position of Tribal Law Enforcement Officer is highly influential to the efficient functioning of Rincon. Under direction of the Tribal law Enforcement Supervisor and Lead, the Tribal law Officer will provide security patrol of the Rincon Reservation to enhance public safety and security.  This person will conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of Rincon. Interact with the Tribal community and provide the highest level of customer service by meeting their specific needs.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING: Five (5) years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified (preferred).  LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s License, CPR, and Basic First Aid Certifications (Preferred). WORK-RELATED KNOWLEDGE: Experience in basic security patrol tactics, Experience working along side various law enforcement agencies. Knowledge of generally accepted security procedures (written, verbal, and hands on).

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Observe and report criminal violations of Federal, State and Tribal statutes or ordinances. First Aid. Document observations in a written report and provide oral briefings on those observations to a supervisor when appropriate. Traffic Direction. Building Security Inspections. Home and Business watches. Fire Procedures. Respond to resident safety and security concerns. Ensure efficient and effective response and documentation.  Responds to inquiries, investigates and resolves security related concerns. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Attends meetings and other work related training as needed.
