ACCOUNTING MANAGER/CONTROLLER

Immediate opening.  Position Requirements:  Accounting degree with 3 to 7 seven years accounting work experience.  Must be fast learner/quick study, highly motivated and wanting to run the department.  Experience in company with wholesale A/R and inventory a plus.

 

We are a growing and profitable San Diego based and owned sporting goods manufacturer seeking an Accounting Manager to manage all accounting functions.  Located in Miramar area and likely moving to Carlsbad/Vista within one year, the company designs and sells its performance branded products through over 2,000 retail outlets, including The Sports Authority, Big 5, Sports Chalet and many others.  Position reports to the President and is specifically responsible for generating monthly financial statements, A/R, A/P, credit and collections, inventory, cash management, account reconciliation, payroll, and other normal accounting functions.

 

This position is an integral part of our senior management team and requires involvement in all major decisions.  Candidates should be “hands on”, results oriented, thorough, accurate and work well in changing, fast paced environment.  Again, the candidate must be a fast learner, quick study and highly motivated for success.
