Universal Orlando Resort -- home of the world's two most amazing theme parks, Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure, the extraordinary Universal CityWalk entertainment center and our three fabulous hotels, PORTOFINO BAY, HARD ROCK and ROYAL PACIFIC -- is currently seeking the following professional to join our team.
Analyst II, Systems
Analyzes business systems needs working with User community and Information Technology (IT) staff to triage production issues, identify root causes, develop corresponding IT and business solutions to resolve. Serves as a systems solution analyst operating in a liaison capacity to TRM, Technology Relationship Manager, and various Universal Orlando Divisions / Departments. Interface with key end-user customers and TRM to understand and interpret business requirements to allow the application of technology for solving business and system problems and future enhancements. From these analysis, the Systems Analyst II will interface with system vendors, other systems analysts, and programmers to determine Information Technology solutions and new technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform trouble-shooting and investigation of business, data or technical issues as they might arise or are assigned. Work with third party vendors to support applications and interfaces.
Maintain trouble ticket logs for tracking and resolution.
Develop the corresponding user system test and acceptance test criteria. Coordinate user application testing without affecting the outcome of the test.
Update project managers, perform business gap analysis, cost estimating / tracking, requirements evaluations, solution evaluations, deliverable documentation, and coordinate application system implementations. Assist programmers and business users in the update, testing, and implementation of new software releases.
Conduct user application training, create and coordinate functional specifications/requirements, and assist in software selection process.
Develop complex operational reports.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required, with emphasis in business or Computer Science, or Associate degree with experience in an information technology environment, or equivalent work experience.
5-7 years exposure to systems analysis and support in a hospitality environment, preferably theme park experience. Windows XP and Windows Server environment experience is required. Microsoft SQL Server experience highly desirable; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have 3-5 years previous in a Maximo Administrator or Maximo Developer capacity.
Must be able to develop and modify Actuate reports.
