Assistant Manager, Restaurant

Universal Orlando Resort -- home of the world's two most amazing theme parks, Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure, the extraordinary Universal CityWalk entertainment center and our three fabulous hotels PORTOFINO BAY, HARD ROCK and ROYAL PACIFIC-- is currently seeking the following professional to join our team.



Assistant Manager, Restaurant




Under the direction of the restaurant manager, supervises the operations in a specific food service restaurant and / or stand. Responsible for the high standards of service efficiency, sanitation, cleanliness and training. Assumes the responsibilities of the restaurant manager in his/her absence.





Job Responsibilities:


Accountable for all facets of service, production, quality and controls. Ensures policies and procedures of the tour and the food services dept. are followed. Enforces established safety practices and ensures quality standards are maintained. Accountable for all sales and operating transactions in compliance with the policies and procedures.
Prepares service and production staff schedules in accordance with forecasted business volume. Responsible to alter production and employee needs with the varying daily business volumes.
Plans for and ensures that all personnel, facilities and materials are in complete readiness for operation. Maintain food and supplies par stocks, requisition accordingly and complete physical inventories as required.
Responsible for and monitors all direct operating expenses for the area of responsibility. Completes all required forms and paperwork.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.





Job Requirements:


High School education with some college education in food services.
Minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
