Director, Member Marketing

We operate upscale, full-service fitness facilities in Virginia, New York, California, Florida, Boston, Illinois, and Connecticut, and are growing quickly. We offer an integrated selection of Equinox-branded programs, services and products, including strength and cardio training, group fitness classes, personal training, spa services, apparel and food/juice bars.
Develop, manage, implement and analyze marketing and communication strategies to drive member revenue (and increase retention) for the following areas:
-Former member winback programs.
-Member referral programs
-Retail business line support
-In-Store programs (events, partnerships, store anniversaries)
-Presale store opening
-Grand opening
-First year Communication
-Store anniversaries
-Store renovation and expansion
-Member newsletters
• Achieve objectives using a combination of channels including in-store merchandising, email/online and direct mail and working directly with in-store personnel and sales staff.
• Use customer database, working with marketing analyst and IT department, to develop segmentation strategies to target existing customers and former customers for sales/marketing offers.
• Plan and implement a comprehensive marketing calendar to orchestrate all planned activities including direct mail, email, in-store merchandising, partnerships, events, online, winback, etc.
• Develop, manage and optimize annual member marketing budget.
• Manage in-house creative services team and database marketing agency through creative development, production and campaign implementation.
-5-7 years of B to C marketing experience in the retail, online and direct response channels
-Experience marketing in a sales focused organizaton and supporting a sales force
-Experience writing copy for marketing collateral with a bias towards conversational copy
-Comfortable with data and analytics
-Interest in trends in fashion, style, luxury and wellness
-Able to see "the forest thru the trees" and react quickly in a dynamic environment
-Able to multi-task, think out of the box and have a "can-do" attitude is essential
-Experience managing people
-Must be able to roll up your sleeves and take initiative
-Highly motivated team player with confidence in leadership ability
