We have an extraordinary opportunity for a creative, sports-minded person to work at our New Rochelle NY offices. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an EDI Specialist for our rapidly growing company.

 

The EDI Specialist’s role is to develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate the organization’s Internet-based strategies and initiatives for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. This individual is responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are maintained and properly executed, including development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects.  Responsibilities

 

·  Lead, coordinate, and administer key process improvements to Internet-based EDI implementations.

·  Lead transitions of EDI systems to next-generation environments and/or cross-functional business systems.

·  Perform system configuration, mapping, and management for EDI-based transactions and processes.

·  Process EDI-based transactions.

·  Check with vendors regularly to ensure changes are satisfied.

·  Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems.

·  Compare compatibility of EDI-related products to company systems and make recommendations.

·  Install, coordinate, and troubleshoot EDI-related products.

·  Define and implement strategies for integrating EDI and non-EDI operating environments.

·  Recommend and execute modifications to EDI systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

·  Establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure EDI system security.

·  Develop and maintain EDI process documentation.

·  Establish a analysis of all customer agreements: terms, conditions, deadlines, points of contact

·  Daily procedures: verify that transactions, customer orders, ASNs, shipment verification / tracking info are processed error-freeAnalyze customer sales: # units soldItems that are selling / not sellingPrice accuracyDrop ship charges, as applicable

·  Vendor complianceMonitor on a Daily basisCheck for alertsDistribute information / take appropriate action to minimize chargebacks

·  Develop relationships with all customers

·  Develop relationships with VANs and expertise to work with data being transferred

·  Develop relationships with internal sales staff to educate / update on the EDI process and customer activity

·  Understand the internal flow of merchandise available & created so we could maximize the # of product builds transmittedVerify that product builds sent result in Items actually available for sale at prices that agree with our pricing structureHow / when prices change up or down

·  Dispute chargebacksGather info to reverse chargebacks

·  Write chargebacks if supplier failed to comply with inbound requirements

·  Identify areas to create efficiency, accuracy & save $Ask why we’re doing business a particular way….IF it can be done better

·  Review and implement vendor-supplied EDI patches.

·  Develop and maintain EDI training materials and systems documentation.

·  Recognize and escalate difficult technical / business issues within the Sales, Warehouse, and Accounting organizations

·  Listen, comprehend and communicate on the fly
