Flushing, NY Perform accounting and financial analysis functions related to the operations of the USTA National Tennis Center Facility (“NTC”) and NTC Tennis Programs. Financial management, tracking, analysis and reporting for the NTC “Year Round” and “US Open” operating budgets. This responsibility includes creation of monthly/quarterly Projections, Variance Analysis, and Risks/Opportunities for all accounting units captured under NTC Administration;Facility Operations;Courts & Grounds;Information Technology and NTC Teaching Programs budget areas. QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER: •Bachelors degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3-4 years of general ledger accounting experience (Big 4 audit experience a plus). •Solid understanding of GAAP. •Solid understanding of receivables, prepaid expenses, payables, deferred revenue and general ledger systems. •Experience with computerized accounting systems (Lawson and Hyperion desirable) and highly developed skills in Word and Excel. •Strong understanding of financial statements and their components. •Ability to develop budgets and prepare monthly variance analysis. •Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management at both the NTC and White Plains offices. •Highly detail oriented with a strong ability to multi-task. •Must be highly motivated and possess the ability to “Think outside of the box.”
