Manager - Training and Development

Gold's Gym International headquartered in Irving, Texas is searching for a Manager of Training and Development.  This is a single person department reporting to the COO.

 

Major Responsibilities:

 Assess, design, implement, manage, and evaluate learning and development programs in alignment with department and organizational goals.Develop and implement Gold’s Gym University management training.Evaluate outside training tools and vendors to determine suitability for use in Gold’s Gym University and successfully integrate them for effective results.Work with subject matter experts to develop content, methods and materials for training programs.Develop workbooks, process flows and related training materials.Ensure learning options are cost effective, meet business needs, and appropriately utilize available resources.Use innovative methods for training delivery and utilize resources in an efficient, effective manner.Measure the quality of learning programs through pre and post training assessments.Engage employees and managers in the vision of Gold’s Gym University.Conduct training classes covering specific topics. 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Minimum of 7 years training and development experience in the design, development, implementation, management and assessment of a learning/organizational development function within a corporate environment.  Knowledge of Robert Mager training methodology or equivalent highly desired.Corporate university start-up experience highly desired.Specific experience designing and delivering training related to management and leadership skills.Must have an understanding of current training and assessment models and methodology.Strong project management skills and ability to set priorities and meet timelines.Excellent oral, written communication and organization skills. Effective presentation skills appropriate to all levels of the organization. Basic computer knowledge, including all Microsoft products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Periodic overnight travel required.
