Myers Beach, FL Report To: Resort Manager FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt POSITION PURPOSE To assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of recreation/leisure activities for all guests/owners and group activity programs. To perform essential office and department projects that aid in effectively maintaining superior programs. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Essential Functions: • Provides outstanding guest/owner service at all times. • Coordinates recreational programs on a day-to-day basis for all age groups. Programs will differ according to resort requirements and seasonal opportunities. • Accounts for all monies collected through program fees. • Plans, organizes and instructs specific classes, activities and events, including special events and holiday programs. • Responsible for the awareness and interest of our events by developing various communication materials (i.e. flyers, handouts, postings, etc.). • Responsible for the inventory of supplies and products for Activities, including performing monthly inventories, purchasing, and tracking. • Continually seeks new and exciting programs and ideas to improve, expand and keep current existing programs. • Monitors various recreational activity common areas (i.e. pool, putting greens, video game room, tennis courts, etc.) and enforce all rules and regulations. • Carries out a reasonable request or special project by management of which the employee is capable of performing. Supportive Functions: • Assists and provides support to other departments when required. • Provides courteous guest/owner services by answering inquiries, providing information and general problem solving. • Assists in conducting program surveys and preparing reports as required. QUALIFICATION STANDARD . High School Diploma • One or more years experience/internship in the recreation field or activities coordination, preferred. • Excellent guest relation skills required.
