Personal Fitness Training Supervisor

Position Summary:

Provide innovative ways to promote the Personal Fitness Training department through specials and club events, to ensure attaining monthly revenue goals.

Independently manage and run the Personal FitnessTraining department, reporting to both General Manager and Director of Fitness.

Be available to work split shifts and weekends.

Lead team meetings twice monthly to disseminate company/club information and updates; problem solve and brainstorm departmental topics; as well as review departmental goals, needs and functions.

Facilitate 1:1 meetings with each trainer on a monthly basis mentoring and coaching their specific strengths and weaknesses to help them reach their optimum potential.

Continue your personal fitness education to distribute the latest training techniques to your team.

Plan and coordinate in-house health and fitness related workshops/seminars for the trainers and members.

 

Qualifications:Current Certification from an accredited organization or an approved organization. Personal training/coaching experience; 1 year minimum. 100 hours of Pilates education/experience Current CPR and AED  Varying sports, coaching and fitness experience encouraged to apply. Management experience preferred.

Skills:Ability to train the team, as well as hold them accountable to policies and procedures Proven ability to lead, supervise, coach and manage a team Must have prior successful sales/closing experience Must have professional level business skills Organizational and time management skills a must to complete department paperwork efficiently Must be able to interact professionally and POSITIVELY with employees, members, vendors and management. Ability to exceed goals and build relationships with ease Exhibit a strong commitment and devoted work ethic Lead by example Solutions strategy skills  Integrity and honesty Customer focused Time/Self Management masterySafety Management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Staff DevelopmentRecruiting, interviewing, hiring personal trainers and Pilates instructors Ongoing education, training and development of staff Ensuring team cohesiveness in order to obtain department goals Ensure completion of our New Hire Success manuals by employees Completion of monthly one-on-one evaluations Provide timely ongoingfeedback to enhance employee performance Enforcing productivity, quality and safety requirements

AdministrativeComplete daily, weekly,monthly reports Maintain FE/EO schedule book, PT tools and binders Daily payroll accuracy and submission Updating club logs as needed

BudgetCoordinate total montly hours required for FE/EO and floor shift schedule Plan and prep short and long term range goals icluding budgets, expenditures, staffing and traing

Program DevelopmentMonitor budget vs. acutal expenditures, adjust as needed Monitor and ensure the quality of personalized program designs by trainers Remaining aware of insdustry trends and initiate innovative programs Development of monthly member seminars Develop and coordinate in club personal training promotions, flyers, posters, banners, etc. Drive department sales, product and services. Report sales performance to management.

CommunicationClear and timely communication with department staff Collaborate with General Manager and Personal Training Director: new hires, evaluations, pay increases, progressive disciplinary action, schedules changes Respond to member/client concerns Maintain active presence in the club and remian available to address department concers or issues Promote and attend speciasl club events Attend all club and staff meetings as required by the General Manager and Personal Training Director

EquipmentEnsure all equipment is in good working condition Maintain inventory of equipment and fitness accessories Ensure a functional and safe equipment floor plan Recommend new equipment as needed
