We are a company of enthusiasts and have passion for our products! Yamaha has an opening for a Secretary to join our Motorsports Group! This position is based out of Cypress, CA. The Secretary will be responsible for assisting the Motorsports Group with special projects assigned as well as day to day administrative duties. Individual will provide clerical, administrative and general office support to department(s) or a group of professionals. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: • Assist and support Marketing and PR group with various projects. • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate personnel. Must show initiative for assisting callers whenever possible and always act in a professional and courteous manner. • Routinely update various reports particularly with respect to department budgets and monthly billing.• Plan and coordinate travel arrangements for department personnel.• Schedule appointments and coordinate arrangements for meetings. • Prepare presentations using the appropriate software. • Prepares routine letters and memoranda for review.• Coordinate all department mailings. • Order and maintain proper level of supplies.• Assist department staff with paperwork and record keeping. Assist Department Managers in overseeing their individual goals.Requirements• High School diploma or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of three years administrative/clerical experience, preferably supporting a Marketing/PR division. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Outlook. Ability to type 60-70 wpm. • Strong organizational and customer service skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as copier, scanner, and fax machine. • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and ability to work in a team environment.
