CITY/STATE: Santa Ana, CAPOSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Administrative/ClericalEDUCATION LEVEL: High School or equivalentSALARY: 12.50 - 13.00 USD /hour Telecommunications Support Services Telecommunications Support Services   JOB SUMMARY   The Telecommunications Support position is responsible for answering incoming calls, logging calls, routing calls to support personnel, and handle mail room responsibilities.  In addition, it is necessary to provide a sincere service-oriented response to all inquiries and interact with internal and external staff in a professional manner at all times.  In this position it is necessary to answer and route all telephone calls with a sense of urgency.  During business hours it is important to stay focused and assist the Telecommunications Support Services Department. Duties and Responsibilities: Greet visitors and determine their purpose in visiting, direct them to appropriate staff member. Operate telephones, answer incoming calls and determine the caller’s needs, direct call to appropriate staff member or department. Must be able to answer multi-line phone systems. Ensure neatness/cleanliness of reception area. Coordinate unlocking and locking the front door each business day at 8 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Maintain current employee telephone extension list. Work with HR staff on administrative functions as needed. Knowledge and experience with Cisco Phone System preferred, but not required.  Professional speaking voice with a sense of urgency.  Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently. Professional demeanor at all times. Previous experience with FedEx or mail delivery a plus. Skill Requirements: Ability to multi-task. Detail oriented. Ability to work independently. Excellent communication and writing skills. Typing 45 WPM/ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel  Requirements Some College is preferred, but not required. Minimum of 2 years experience as an operator or receptionist  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
