Visual Merchandise Associate

Warrior Sports, recognized as one of the sporting goods industry's premier manufacturers of performance-oriented products is seeking a Visual Merchandising Associate in our Warren, MI corporate headquarters.

The Visual Merchandising Associate will execute our in-store program and develop guidelines/protocol for merchandising standards to drive superior merchandising consistency and standards in-store. This role is the conduit for all merchandising and visual display direction given to stores.



Primary responsibilities include:

  Work collaboratively with Product Marketing and Creative Team to develop creative and innovative merchandising solutions for in-store displays, promotions and product launches for all specialty and big box channels.

  Adapt seasonal merchandising and visual merchandising presentation direction into store directives.

  Work with Product Marketing to determine needs and execution strategy for seasonal promotions.

  Develop and assign procedures for merchandising requisitions, communications and execution to provide consistency, quality and timely turn-around.

  Assign procedures to provide consistency and quality control at retail.

  Create retail test programs to drive business. Analyze and present test store performance, and recommend action steps.

  Provide Product Marketing with presentation materials for partner meetings.

  Provide Event Marketing with mobile and event merchandising program.

  Ensure that all merchandising strategies support marketing and financial objectives.

  Develop corporate product merchandising standard guidelines by channel and market to provide solutions for back wall, counter, gondola fixtures etc across all markets and channels.

  Develop guidelines for category signage, price ticketing and promotional signage in-store.

  Recommend action steps to drive the business in the short and long terms based on sales performance, store feedback, customer feedback and personal observations on store visits.

  Develop and maintain strong relationships and dialogue with store managers and local marketing managers.

  Recognize outstanding store execution and share ideas through best practice strategy.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  3-5 years of visual merchandising experience - retail background  Creative flair and ability to develop creative concepts for merchandising displays. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Strategic, analytical and project management skills. Highly organized. Ability to negotiate and influence others. Strong, dynamic communicator with a high degree of creativity and a collaborative style of management that values input from senior management. Ability to work in an undefined environment. Entrepreneurial in spirit, flexible and a self-starter. Thrives in fast passed environment and has a roll up your sleeves mentality. Some travel required.
