7  TURNKEY PROJECT ENGINEERs (Mechanical) NEEDED ASAP FOR LARGE  PHARMACUETICAL COMPANY IN NORTHERN, NJ

 

 

 

Reports To:  MANAGER, TURNKEY ENGINEERING

 

Essential Job Function: Travel 40%.  Total project responsibility from initial proposal to final commissioning.  Responsible for design, execution, budget and schedule issues.

General Information

 

MUST HAVE:  ***BSME, NJ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE DEGREE) Degree Preferred but NOT required**  Five plus years experience in the pharmaceutical, food or related processing industries involving engineering design and construction of GMP processing labs or facilities. Design of HVAC and facility utilities systems for GMP processing strongly recommended.  Knowledge of AUTO CAD, Word, Excel, and MS Project.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

 

1.  Project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, coordination and communications. Maintain project costs within budgetary limits and reporting status.

 

2.  Providing process engineering and equipment layout, integration, and specification services for customer related projects. Vendor equipment investigation, selection, price negotiation, coordination, and procurement efforts related to customer projects.

 

3.  Conduct technical review of standard design specifications and details.  Participate in monthly project reviews for technical and design concerns.

 

4.  Routinely interfacing with customer representatives to resolve issues related to design, installation, schedule, cost and project status.

 

5.  Contractor interface including preparation and review of scope documents, job specifications, proficiency evaluation, price negotiations and contract terms and final selection for installation and construction services.

 

6.  Analyze and plan for installation of equipment and related construction activities.

 

7.  Hands-on management of on-site contractors regarding project performance, coordination and schedule concerns.

 

8.  Examines and inspects work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that the specifications are met.

 

9.  Providing design drawing services as required.

 

10. Technical presentations and preparing project quotations for submittal to customer.

 

11.  Maintaining proficiency consistent with improving job performance and upgrading technical expertise by reviewing literature, attending seminars, and interfacing with other organizations.

 

12.  Developing and encouraging good interpersonal working relationships on a company wide basis.

 

13. Keeping departmental management informed on a routine basis of all developments and problems as they occur.

 

14. Upon receiving training from company, be able to perform non-permit required confined space entry and act as fire-watch at customer sites or at company.

 

15.  Other duties as assigned.
