Branch Manager in Richmond

  JOB SUMMARY:Spherion, an international Fortune 500 organization, is searching for the right person to join our Richmond market. We are looking for a motivated individual. The Branch Manager is accountable for creating and implementing a successful marketing strategy to meet/exceed sales/profit targets and for developing an effective staff to assist in achieving the branch’s financial/operational goals.   RESPONSIBILITIES: · Sales/Business Development:o Develop and implement an effective marketing strategy to increase sales and maximize profits by o evaluating potential of client base, developing new accounts and increase revenue of existing accounts through telemarketing and outside sales activitieso Maintain communication with established clients to ensure successful business developmento and to promote client and employee retention through exemplary customer serviceo Develop and implement an effective recruiting strategy to ensure the availability of qualifiedo flexible/full time employees in order to meet current and anticipated needso Work with integration teams to develop cross business opportunities ·  Operational/Financial Management:o Communicate and coordinate the various aspects of branch operations required to ensure compliance (Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment, Human Resources, Legal, WOTC, etc.) o Financial management of branch operations (budgeting, forecasting, monthly P&L review, credit and collections, etc.)o Implement, monitor and comply with company programs/ initiativeso Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all branch activitieso Participate in local professional, business and civic organizations to enhance personal development and to promote company recognition · Staff Management:o Develop effective recruiting strategies to identify qualified candidates for internal staff positionso Develop a fully operational and qualified staff by hiring and training employees according to established company guidelineso Identify developmental/career opportunities to ensure staff retentiono Coach and counsel associates on behavioral and performance issues, document and take corrective action as necessaryo Conduct annual staff performance reviews o Conduct regular staff meetings  EDUCATION:·  Four-year college degree or 5 years of equivalent business experience  EXPERIENCE:·  Minimum of four years related business experience with strong emphasis on sales and supervision SKILLS REQUIRED:·  Ability to analyze profit/loss statements and other related financial data to make sound business decisions·  Strong leadership, managerial, organizational and communication skills·  Ability to perform business development and external sales activities·  Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to maintain effectiveness during change·  Computer literacy·  Ability to work flexible/extended hours when necessary DON’T DELAY!!!
