Business Development Manager - IT

Business Development Manager POSITION: Business Development Manager MODIS, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for high energy individuals who are ready to develop business relations within the Phoenix business and technology community. Must have eentrepreneur instincts. Very competitive salary and commission plan. POSITION OBJECTIVES: This position requires performance of all functions necessary to utilize market knowledge and activity in developing and maintaining district accounts through outside sales activity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Client Development Developing relationships with the Client IT managers Negotiating contracts with the Client companies to ensure proper business strategies Expanding relationships within a client company 2. Job Requisition Management Securing job requirements from the Client Company Gathering pertinent information to adequately qualify a particular consultant Negotiating and securing a profitable consultant bill rate 3. Consultant Relationship Building Setting up interviews with the consultants and client managers Establishing rapport with consultants while on assignment with clients 4. Recruiter Relationship Building Communicating the requisition information to recruiting staff members Communicating the profile of the client companies to the recruiting staff members 5. Business Planning Developing business with companies in surrounding territory Projecting business growth with existing accounts 6. Database Maintenance Adding and maintaining records in the database regarding client visits, meetings and entertainment Maintaining records in the database regarding job order activities ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: (although not fundamental to the job, these functions are required periodically) Solicit opportunities to speak before professional organizations and business groups. Complete credit checks on new customers. Prepare weekly planner for scheduling additional sales calls by inside staff when appropriate. Prepare and appropriately document sales reports for all weekly sales activity, market and competitor information business and market trends. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Formal Education: College degree in a business-related field. 2. Skills: (a) Familiar with PC-based systems. (b) Excellent verbal and written communications (c) Excellent customer service skills 3. Experience: (a) 2 years experience in sales or recruiting environment. (b) 1 year of employment industry or HR experience helpful. 4. Other: (a) Sense of urgency.
