Business & Financial Analyst - Purchasing

This position will have direct responsibility over $2.5 Billion in direct materials and indirect materials spend. This position is the critical link between the Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, Corporate Operations, and Finance teams.Our client is a global manufacturer of consumer goods. They sell more than 400 million products to customers in 150 countries around the world every year and their name has become synonymous with quality. The company focuses on innovations that are thoughtfully designed and based on extensive consumer insight. This company's operations are divided into two divisions, Professional and Consumer goods, with the consumer group making up 93% of total sales. Their products are sold under several brand names throughout the world.Qualifications / Experience: Bachelor's Degree required Minimum of 7 years Accounting experience, preferably primarily with a manufacturing company Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Cognos and/or Edwards experience preferred CPA and MBA are a plus Solid understanding of accounting and financial concepts, including cost accounting Robust business understanding Financial analysis experience including: ---resource allocation analysis ---capital investment analysis Experience working with and advising senior management of financial and business strategies Understanding of a line manufacturing process and the financial implicationsSpecific Duties include but are not limited to: Preparation of timely and accurate financial reports to Sector and Corporate management on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis Interpretation and communication of financial performance, implications, and recommendations Cost productivity analysis (direct and indirect material) including working with the Operations team to help drive and achieve the cost targets Raw material cost tracking and analysis Evaluation of new purchased components, make-or-buy, etc. Assist in corporate reporting requirements to Group Purchasing and Business Control Reviewing proposals for major capital expenditures relative to their conformity with corporate planning and economic justification.Compensation: Base: Excellent pay - Commensurate with experience Benefits: Relocation Assistance, Medical, Dental, 401K and otherQualified applicants should reply via email to nicole@mriyorktown.com  for follow up and further information.
