Consolidations Accountant

Well-established global company needs a consolidations accountant with 5 years public accounting/industry experience to contribute to the closing process by managing detailed accounting processes included in the consolidating of financial statements and operating results of multiple domestic and international locations.



Duties and responsibilities

 1.  Manage detailed, technical accounting processes as follows:

  a.  Acquisition accounting for newly acquired business.

  b.  Asset impairment accounting (Goodwill, Long-lived assets).

c.  Assist with tax provision accounting.

  d.  Analyze and roll-forward consolidated equity accounts from period to period.

e.  Prepare the elimination of inter-company profit in inventory at each quarter end.

f.  Accounting for locations closed or sold, including determination of gain or loss on sale.Prepare and post closing consolidation journal entries. Analyze financial data/reserves at Location and Consolidated level to identify trends, errors, misstatements or issues. Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Assist in development of corporate accounting processes and policies. Assist in the implementation of US GAAP in financial reporting by foreign reporting locations. Assist in consolidation and review of Annual Plan.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree Accounting; CPA preferred; Hyperion retrieve
Ability to work under pressure and muli-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written skills
