Continuous Improvement/Lean Specialist

  Manufacturer of engineered materials and components seeks a Continuous Improvement/Lean Specialist to join their CI team in implementation of Lean principles through the company.  This company has both design and fabrication capabilities, and prides itself in working closely with customers to provide top-notch engineered components built to customer specifications.  Serving a variety of transportation and industrial markets, the company needs a Continuous Improvement/Lean Specialist to champion Lean concepts and help lead the company toward its goals of increased productivity and efficiency.  If you have the knowledge, experience and drive to provide this expertise, I invite you to contact me. The primary responsibility of this position is to implement Continuous Improvement concepts throughout the organization, to include such duties as:- Utilize Lean, 5S and Six Sigma tools to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiency in the system.- Serve as a resource to Manufacturing regarding implementing Lean concepts.- Manage Continuous Improvement projects as assigned.- Assist in developing strategies and setting priorities for new Continuous Improvement initiatives.- Gather statistical data to measure project effectiveness.- Develop and implement training as needed throughout the organization regarding Continuous Improvement initiatives. This position reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:- 3 Years minimum in a Continuous Improvement role in a manufacturing setting is required.  - Knowledge of and experience in using Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts is required.- Experience in leading Continuous Improvement initiatives is required.- Ability to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and make corrections as needed.- Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the manufacturing organization.- Six Sigma training a strong plus. - Bachelor’s Degree a strong plus.- Experience in a cell manufacturing setting is a strong plus.- Ability to effectively use electronic database to maintain project records.- Personal characteristics desired include drive, integrity, focus and passion.  MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
