Contract Technical Recruiter

DataSoft is a fast growing engineering company in the defense wireless communications business located at ASU's SkySong in Scottsdale. We develop HW & SW products and provide engineering design services to prime contractors. We have a number of upcoming projects needing new personnel and need a Technical Recruiter to attract top talent to our company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Consult with hiring managers to create job description, position requirements and keep website up to date.

- Seek out, interview, screen, recruit and recommend candidates for engineering, software, and technical positions from external sources using personal networks and company-supplied resume boards.

- Identify applicants via internet sites, colleges, technical schools, job fairs or advertising responses to ensure a continuous applicant flow to meet business needs

- Interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements

- Screen and refer qualified applicants to company hiring personnel for follow-up interview

- Extend offers to selected candidates

- Discuss long-range professional and technical personnel needs with management to prepare and implement recruitment program

- Maintain an effective recruitment advertising program as directed by management

- Perform reference, employment and background confirmation on applicants.

- Correspond with job applicants to notify them of employment consideration

- File and maintain employment applications for future uses in ATS.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 3 years technical staffing experience in the defense and aerospace market.

- Knowledge and understanding of RF engineering, digital design, real-time embedded software field.

- Sense of urgency

- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

- Able to maintain confidentiality

- Ability to travel locally for company sponsored events, job fairs, etc. on a varying schedule

- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet recruiting tools

- Must be able to work effectively in a demanding and stressful environment, handling multiple and shifting priorities

- Must possess effective time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
