V-P OF FINANCE AND CORPORATE CONTROLLER      A leader in the development of a patented lead based battery alternative used in storage solutions for alternative energy applications such as solar and wind power generation is looking for a V-P of Finance and Corporate Controller to aide in taking them to the next level.  This company engages in the development of a platform technology for asymmetrically super-capacitive lead-acid-carbon energy storage devises. They have made the first major breakthrough in battery technology in more than thirty years and are receiving praise for their innovation and potential to expand the markets for hybrid vehicles and alternative energy systems, such as those fueled by wind or solar power.  If you desire to be part of the “green” initiative in an industry that is rapidly expanding, then this is the position for you!  The position is located in New Castle, Pa.   Job Description:   The position requires a high degree of technical accounting knowledge and judgment gained from experience applied in an SEC registrant corporate environment or with a national public accounting firm. This position will work closely with executive management, reporting to the CFO, on SEC reporting, investor reporting, and board reporting. In this position you will manage the reporting of all SEC filings, perform research and analysis on technical accounting and reporting issues, and work closely with management in the preparation of earnings announcements and press releases. This will require interaction with external auditors on periodic reviews and audits; while working to expedite the process for earnings announcements and filing dates, while improving the quality of these reports.  Responsibilities include:- Compliance with SEC filings including 10-QSB’s and 10-KSB’s- Lead Section 404 implementation- Develop company accounting control practices and policies- Participate in quarterly financial close reviews, monthly management financial reviews and Audit Committee meetings- Interpret all SEC and GAAP pronouncements Qualifications:- CPA required; MBA a plus- Minimum of 10 years of SEC reporting experience with a publicly traded company and/or as an external auditor with a national public accounting firm- Solid current working knowledge of GAAP- Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail- Strong SEC research and documentation experience- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to explain complex accounting concepts to a non-technical audience- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity- Experience in a manufacturing facility or a battery manufacturer a plus  Compensation: $100-120k, restricted stock and performance based bonus.   If you meet the above criteria and would like to learn more send me an e-mail with your resume attached in word format to diane@huntsvillesearch.com .
