Cost Accountant

Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Cost Accountant Job Description: Responsible for all cost accounting functions. Research variances and gap analysis, recommend action plans, ensure proper recording and reporting for all data, and prepares financial analysis and accounting support to management. Manage the process of developing costs for individual products Develop and maintain cost reporting for actual costs and cost of poor quality Develop, manage and maintain SAP system components as it relates to inventory and manufactured costs Provide guidance on cost issues to manufacturing department Manage and coordinate labor reporting and analysis Manage and maintain standard costing system Ensure closing deadlines are met for WFT / FM plant cost entries Audit cost reports Examine and review unusual cost records Ensure cost data such as material, labor and inventory are allocated correctly.
