The focus of this position is to drive the expansion of the Toxicology Profiling business unit. This includes leadership of a group of scientists developing new toxicity assays for in-house and collaborative partners, support of the Cytotoxicity Profiling service, and interaction with the commercialization team to further develop the market. What you will be doing:- Leading a team of scientists supporting the CellCipher Cytotoxicity profiling service as well as a group developing new cytotoxicity assays using image analysis applications on High Content Screening platforms. - Responsible for all aspects of assay design, including; cellular model selection or development, identification and validation of cellular toxicity endpoints, automation, protocol optimization and data analysis. - Managing the screening laboratory, ensuring implementation of new assays and efficient delivery of services. What you need:- Pharmaceutical industry experience in cell-based assay development for thigh throughput screening or lead optimization - Experience in development of cellular imaging assays and familiarity with the cellular models designed to predict toxicity in vivo - Preference given to those with high throughput screening experience - Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering project milestones on time and on-budget required - Broad skills in cell biology, including fluorescence microscopy, quantitative imaging, and data analysis are desired - Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills. - A Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, with at least 10 years of relevant industrial experience is required.
