Director of Engineering - Web 2.0

92032 A leading Web 2.0 company is looking to add another leader to their engineering organization. In this role, you will lead a team of talented, passionate individuals who are focused on producing a great web application. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will manage a group of 18 Software Engineers (This group will grow to approximately 25-30 people). To be qualified for the position you will: Have managed groups with at least 15 people. Have juggled many small groups and many small projects at 1 time. Have a management style that is 'firm but with a light touch', focuses on removing obstacles, and helps team members get what they need to get the job done while staying out of their way. Have a technical background (must have been a software developer at one point). Have come from a Web 2.0 environment.
