Director of Supply Chain - Great Opportunity!!!

This position will be based in Milwaukee, WI. and will report to the Divisional GM for North America with a dotted line in to the VP of Supply Chain for the entire organization. This position will oversee materials and supply chain employees with $35 million in spend and 30% travel. This is a highly competitive business so there is a strong emphasis on cost containment as well as cost reduction. Qualifications / Experience: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical competency -- business/industrial related field. Advanced degree preferred ***Must have a strong background in steel purchasing*** 5-10 years in the area of purchasing, material management and direct material experience in strategy development. Financially literate, especially in P&L and cash-flow modeling, scenario building and comparative analysis Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to use a structured approach to understand, analyze and solve complex problems Highly committed team player, flexible, and able to work to tight deadlines 5+ years of team leadership / supervisory experience 5-10 years of direct supply chain, operations, distribution or related field experience ***Green Belt with preference to Six Sigma Black Belt Certification***Specific Duties include but are not limited to: Establishes divisional level procurement strategies, Process owner for all supply chain related activities Develops, coordinates and executes relevant and or assigned strategic sourcing initiatives under agreed-on time-frames Strategically represents their assigned business units within the larger function of Global Supply Chain Participates on the Global Supply Chain advisory team Drives spend and opportunity analyses Champions the strategic sourcing processes Builds and maintains solid relationships with strategic supply chain partners Establishes metrics based on Total Value versus Total Cost analysisCompensation: Base: Excellent pay - Commensurate with experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401K, VacationLean, 5S, Six Sigma, Mining, Drilling, Engineering, Manager, Management, quality, Surface, Blast hole, Mineral, equipment, manufacturing, mobile, industrial, fabrication, Production, Supply, Qualified applicants should reply via email to michellec@mriyorktown.com  for follow up and further information.
