District Manager - East Coast Florida Market
Labor Ready, a TrueBlue company, has an opening for a District Manager in the East Coast Florida market. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing district, which is made up of Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, Melbourne and Lake Worth, for a total of 8 branches. This position will report directly to the Area Vice President. It is the District Manager's responsibility to provide leadership to plan, organize and direct sales and operational strategies for their assigned location. They ensure the success of Labor Ready branches and branch managers through mentoring, coaching and leadership. Responsibilities: - Through active coaching and leadership, ensure the success of the district by developing the skills of branch staff. - Identify trends and competition in designated markets and recommend marketing action to maximize opportunities and minimize risks. Create and coordinate sales plans to achieve targeted profit margin in "same stores" and appropriate levels for new stores in the district. - Multi-Unit Management: Divide time equitably between branches to ensure profitability, growth and professional development. Handle multiple demands and meetings with effectiveness and enthusiasm. - Plan, direct and monitor activities; search for ways to be creative, grow and improve the business. Work collaboratively with the Legal Department to represent the company on political action initiatives. - Proactively meet and attain district goals and objectives. Execute programs, policies and ideas. Consistent follow-through. Demonstrate the extra effort it takes to get the job done. - Ensure branches are compliant within the staffing model and that appropriate staffing levels are met. Coach and educate Branch Managers to conduct audits and Branch assessments in operations, personnel performance and compliance policy. Review and approve corrective action plans. - Ensure district staff is completing job site visits and taking a proactive stance in the prevention of worker accidents. A Successful District Manager will have the following: - Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field; or equivalent experience. - 5 years Management experience. - 4+ years outside or business-to-business sales experience. - 2 Years Staffing Industry or Branch experience. - Multi-Unit Management experience. - Proficient in Microsoft: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Cognos. - Must be willing and able to travel frequently. (up to 75%) - Excellent problem-solving & judgment. - Demonstrative leadership ability and success in delivering results through the actions of others. - Possess a valid driver's license.
