Electrical Engineer -- Maintenance Supervisor

 Manufacturer of steel products seeks a career-minded Electrical Engineer with strong industrial background to supervise the electrical aspect of their Maintenance organization.  This company produces a line of specialty products that are sold into a variety of industries.  The company is currently building a core team of solid individuals tasked with driving this operation.  If you are looking for a company that recognizes and rewards excellence, I invite you to contact me.  This is a career-track position, and training will be provided to the right junior-level candidate who is ready to step into a supervisory role. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will have responsibility for the electrical aspects of predictive and reactive maintenance on production equipment.  Additionally, you will have similar responsibility for the facility’s wiring and power supply.  Duties include:- Maintaining the operating effectiveness of the electrical aspect of all production equipment.- Maintaining the operating effectiveness of the electrical aspect of the plant.- Implementation of the preventive maintenance schedule.- Trouble-shoot problems as they occur and initiate corrective action.- Supervision, training and mentoring of 12 maintenance technicians.- Involvement in capital equipment projects.- Seek ways to improve the efficiency of the operation.- Maintain strong adherence to safety standards. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.Salary is commensurate with experience.This position is bonus eligible.Relocation assistance is available. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.  - 3 Years minimum experience in a Maintenance function in a manufacturing setting.- Knowledge of and experience of PLCs and AC/DC drive systems.- 2 Years minimum experience in a Supervisory function in a manufacturing setting.- Knowledge of Maintenance practices standards.- Metal working experience strongly preferred:  steel, aluminum.- Strong leadership capability.  Must be able to build a team, inspire, and mentor.- Trouble-shooting, problem-solving mentality.- Personal integrity, focus, drive and ability to get things accomplished.
