Embedded Software Engineer

FPHA Design EngineerResponsibilities will include: Design and develop the Fiber Optic Video/ Audio Broadcast Transport products for use on telecom IP and SONET Networks.  Define the internal hardware and FPGA architecture for transport system products including Next Generation HD, SDI, and ASI transport over telecom and broadcast infrastructure with fiber optic interfaces.  Manage product development project from start to finish.  Produce hardware and FPGA schematics to meet design document specifications and implement designs using state-of-the-art FPGA technology and tools.  Write FPGA code to create time division multiplexing functions, including framers and clock recovery up to Gigabit rates.  Transfer new products into production with a focus on cost saving and manufacturability. Requirements and Abilities: Product development ability using FPGA technology.  Proficiency with schematic capture software tools.  Knowledge of high frequency PCB layout.  Broad knowledge of hardware, firmware and software integration.  Knowledge of video, data and telecom standards.  Minimum of seven years designing hardware/firmware/software for Digital Video, Data Communication or Telecommunications.  Writing FPGA code using Verilog or VHDL.  Experience designing analog video, SDI, ASI, HD, IP, SONET, CWDM/ DWDM and Ethernet.  BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
