Engineer-Robotic Cell Design

Unsurpassed opportunity with admired company with big growth potential, send resume in word format to gaylenelson@topcareers.com NEVER A FEE TO OUR CANDIDATES!!!Responsibilities to include: • Assist production team and lead cross-functional team in robotic cell design for manufacturing in design, installations and maintainance flow.  • Develop manufacturing processes, equipment, and specifications • Provide advice to operations team regarding automation and robotic application.  • Assist production in tracking the performance of the robotic cells using KPI's.Experience and Qualifications (required unless otherwise noted): • B.S. Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent in the Physical Sciences  • 6-8 years experience programming, installing and troubleshooting robotic work cells in industrial applications. (PLC) • 3-5 years experience designing manufacturing equipment, and getting that equipment running in high-volume production. Experience with motion control, pneumatic logic, material handling, adhesive dispense, and machine vision required, as is experience in integrating the equipment with manufacturing processes. • 4 years of experience driving/participating in releasing new products into Manufacturing for volume production • Basic Electrical/PLC Design, troubleshooting skills.  • Experience with AutoCAD or PRO/E and shop-floor-control systems a plus • FMA and PFMEA experience/knowledge a plus • Lean Manufacturing Experience/Knowledge (JIT, Poka Yoke, Kanbans, Cell Layout and flow optimization) a plus • Good documentation and written skills with fluency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel spreadsheets • Candidate should be able to create complex designs & assemblies from scratch for tooling & manufacturing equipment.
