FACILITY MANAGER - WAREHOUSING

Our client, a logistics company in the South/West New Jersey area, is looking for a Facility Manager to coordinate and lead activities of the organization to ensure timely, cost effective, and high quality shipments and services to customers.RESPONSIBILITIES: - Hire, train, motivate, and discipline 10-15 person warehouse staff of managers, supervisors and office staff involved in the operation of a distribution warehouse. - Document the results of work across assigned areas. - Ensure the facility meets all performance goals, including delivery, quality, safety, productivity and budgeting. - Provide for employee development and increased employee satisfaction through direct interaction, problem resolution, needs assessment and recognition.  - Identify opportunities to improve individual employee and departmental performance through different training programs.  Work with HR to develop training program(s) if one does not exist to address the problem. - Ensure that all material handling equipment is fully functional for each shift. - Request maintenance or repairs when needed. - Maintain the facility within all Municipal, State, and Federal requirements.QUALIFICATIONS: - MUST HAVE excellent organization and problem solving skills, with the ability to multi-task. - MUST HAVE strong communication skills with all levels. - MUST HAVE good PC skills including word, excel, power point. - MUST BE a hands on individual who is not afraid of working on a computer issue one minute, talking to a customer the next, and going on to the floor to troubleshoot a problem with a shipment. - MUST HAVE a proven successful management background with a minimum of 10 years hands-on warehouse management experience - MUST HAVE minimum of 10 years of hands on experience in a distribution center or manufacturing facility. - MUST HAVE a Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience.
