88895 First Technical Support Engineer for start-up Software Company - very senior TSE Join this new start-up software company to gear up for the first Customer Technical Support response to issues that will arise from the rolling release of the company's first beta version in coming months. Very experienced Senior Customer Technical Support Engineer to support thick-client interfaces and a web application working together in a common project environment (one interface provides files used by another interface for data migration and ETL projects). Learn the company's new product by assisting in QA of the first upcoming release. Create the tech support function and set up systems and procedures in advance of the first launch. Build customer data integrations comprised of rules and data for this software company's run time engine which is put into production for customer mission-critical applications. Support a software with a great deal of rules-based functionality used to determine various levels of access for customer users. Product will run on Windows Server, Solaris, AIX, possibly Linux. Back end systems to be supported may include many types of data sources - Oracle, DB2, WebSphereMQ, JML, flat files, others. Perform necessary scripting for implementation and integration. Assist QA while learning the product and coming up to speed on the product technically. Set up procedures and tools in preparation for meeting customer support needs. Resume should demonstrate: Very experienced and independent senior technical support person to provide ALL customer technical support in this early stage growth company. Strong scripting skills (any - Perl, shell, SQL, JavaScript, VBscript, etc.). Experience in ETL / data migration applications and projects with rules-based functionality. Supporting back-end systems with various data sources (such as Oracle, DB2, WebMQ Series, JML, flat files, etc). Experience supporting applications on Windows platforms; preferably also experience supporting apps on various Unix platforms as well - Windows Server is the priority, after that the company also values experience with Solaris, AIX, Linux.
