Company Description Leader in investment management Job Description Responsibilities for the Hedge Fund Data Manager include: Acting as a key member and potential lead for our Market Data Operations and Valuations Group assisting with the establishment and ongoing development of pricing policies and market data management Working closely with technology and accounting to articulate and implement a platform that provides the requisite market data and security pricing for instruments held by our hedge fund customers Putting in place the procedures to facilitate production of daily and month-end P&L on a timely and accurate basis Maintaining of security related information, implementation and streamlining of procedures, independent pricing of positions, integration of vendor feeds to security master/pricing Gaining product knowledge on a variety of instruments and will have exposure to the Trade Management, Corporate Actions, Portfolio Accounting, Reconciliation, Risk Management, and Technology teams. Summary of Responsibilities Capture and manage the requisite static and market data used by Operations Accounting as well as what is needed to provide daily pricing be it quote-based or model driven. Producing and/or source pricing on a daily basis for all instruments in our clients' portfolios Developing and adapt pricing policies and data management procedures Working closely with the portfolio accounting group to ensure accurate and timely production of P&L and its decomposition Developing a systematic approach for performing model validation to ensure accuracy of instruments priced from models. Establishing control procedures, tolerance checks and rules-based processing to ensure that poor quality data and or pricing issues are discovered and resolved in a timely manner Working towards a highly automated, exceptions-based process Required Skills Having 2+ years OTC security valuation and reporting experience 2+ years using proprietary and industry standard analytics and market data for portfolio accounting and risk management 4+ years market and static data management for purposes of enabling trade operations, security modeling, portfolio valuation and fund accounting 3+ Experience years required Handling ad/hoc tasks necessary An aptitude emerging markets Product control / ops.
