Human Resources Generalist

We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Generalist who will be administering Human Resources policies and procedures for field and call center employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Performs all administrative functions required for processing and distributing Reduction In Force (RIF) severance compensation packages, including but not limited to coordinating final pay and severance pay distribution with Payroll Dept.

Maintains severance databases to assist the Finance Dept with the forecasting of Severance Payments for the proper allocation of funds.

Recruits, and conducts prescreening interviews, checks references, and conducts orientation for new employees.

Manages the employee relocation process. Assists the employee and/or family on all facets of relocation, including lease cancellation, and movement of household goods per Company policy.

Oversees the implementation and evaluation of the equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action program plans. Develops training programs and educates staff about EEO matters. Recognizes and defines opportunities to enhance diversity in the workforce.

Processes H1B Visas and TN Visas for Foreign Nationals company wide by working with the immigration attorney in the various stages of the H1B process to keep the employee legally working and working towards achieving the Permanent Resident Status for the employee.

Manages the Employee Referral Bonus Program according to program guidelines, tracking all employee referrals company wide and processing referral bonuses. Maintains program databases.

Maintains HR Records and coordinates site storage projects for personnel records.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of three to five years of professional HR experience is required. Must have experience managing field locations and/or in a call center environment. Must be proficient in employee relations.

10% travel throughout country to field locations to handle HR related issues.

PHR certification preferred.
