Marketer/Business Development Manager
Marketer/Business Development Representative to conduct new sales activity under disciplined account penetration strategy. Expected to grow presence within existing accounts and develop new customers. Under the general supervision of the branch manager, establishes prospective client relationships, generates sales leads, develops technical job requirements, and assists in tailoring Information Technology (IT) solutions to support business-related objectives. Qualified candidates must have the ability and personal drive to sell IT Consulting and Staff Augmentation services, customized Project solutions, Executive Search capabilities, and Vendor Management Services programs.
Routine marketing duties include sales prospecting, regular correspondence with prospective and current clients, face-to-face meetings, marketing phone calls, attending business functions, and delivering sales presentations to prospects and customers alike. Knowledge and understanding of account penetration strategies, and assistance with the development of effective RFP/RFI/RFQ responses are highly desirable skills. This position also requires the interpersonal ability necessary to establish and coordinate daily priorities among local technical recruiters, and other recruiting resources both within the company and external to the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Open new accounts while servicing and growing existing customer base in the Chicago, Illinois area
• Develop customer leads via phone calls, creative marketing, emailing contacts, business associations, referrals, internet research, sales prospecting, getting appointments, face-to-face presentations and any other avenues available
• Work closely with prospective customers in the development of business proposals for the areas of IT staffing, direct placement and fixed price project solutions
• Generate job requisitions for IT contract and direct hire opportunities
• Promote solution sales and Vendor Management Services programs to new and existing customers
• Present solutions which may include alternatives, negotiate rates with prospective customers, close on business opportunities, and provide ongoing support to ensure solutions exceed expectations
• Maintain accurate customer relationship management and customer/candidate tracking information in company database
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree required
• Basic knowledge of MS-Office required and experience with Lotus Notes is preferred
• Decision making and management skills are required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are strongly desired
• Database experience for the purpose of tracking daily requirements and sales prospecting activity
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
Must possess at least five years of business development experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Information Technology Consulting and Staff Augmentation Services
• Customized Project Solutions
• Executive Search Programs
• Vendor Management Services
