Maufacturing Engineer

Maufacturing Engineer.

 

We are looking for several manufacturing engineers for our clients.  We have multiple openings at various levels of experience from Entry to Senior level experience.  These positions all exist in the Boston – Providence – Worcester corridor. 

 

The daily functions of these positions includes:



· Performing basic and repetitive engineering assignments using standard procedures in implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost efficient manner.

· Monitoring less complex operations to assure compliance with current project schedules.

· Performing specific and limited portions of more complex assignments for higher-level manufacturing engineers.

·  Observing and suggesting methods of manufacturing during design of new products to permit manufacture by the most favorable methods (DFM).

· Evaluating current technologies for cost reduction and improvement.

· Supporting 24/7 operations with trouble shooting-problem solving.

· Support ongoing cost cutting and 6 Sigma initiatives.

 

Requirements include a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3 or more years of previous experience excluding co-operative education or internship preferred. Must have working knowledge of robotics, PLCs and programming, hydraulics, schematics, pneumatics, electrical controls and safety systems. Strong knowledge of engineering related computer systems/capabilities, and lean manufacturing techniques are necessary, with Six Sigma training preferred. Excellent interpersonal and report writing skills are needed.
