ND Agronomy Field Rep – established growers!A leader in the bean market is confidentially looking for an Agronomy Field Representative to call on both established accounts as well as build new relationships and contracts with farmers in a territory in eastern North Dakota.  They are ready to hire when they find the right person and are in a position to hire as soon as they find the right individual.  Customer service is the focus and identifying and providing feedback and information to the grower regarding their crop quality, soil condition, market pricing, demand and when the ideal times for planting and harvesting will be.  This person will also help oversee test plots (new varieties) and work with such farmers to plant and monitor progress/success, as well as sponsor and put on grower appreciation functions and attend trade shows, etc. in the winter months.  This company is very service-oriented and firmly believes in taking care of their growers.  This company is growing and is extremely stable, as they have been in business for over 70 years and are a leader in the dry bean agriculture industry.  The geography in North Dakota that they plan on targeting has the potential for major growth.   This individual MUST have a background in bean/seed/agronomy sales (at least 2-3 years is ideal) with a proven track-record, either live IN the geography or be familiar with and open to relocating to the targeted geography (this territory will be—but not limited to—the following areas:  from the Washburn/Bismarck area up to the Harvey area, over to Grand Forks and Fargo and south to the Valley City/Jamestown area).  This person must also be familiar with the crops in those areas and it will be a MAJOR plus to have an existing customer base with positive contacts for growers.  There will be some overnights depending on the route and this individual will be working out of their home with support in the area, as well as at their main office and area manager.  The compensation is a “base-only” salary of between $50-$60k DOE with a potential discretionary end-of-year bonus, as well as reviews.  It will also include all the tools needed to perform the job:  cell phone, laptop computer, expense account and company vehicle, as well as insurance, 401k, etc.  They are being both selective, as well as urgent in filling this position, so if interested, please email me a resume ASAP, as I do not see this position being on the market long.   Also, our office has been filling positions for our client-companies in Agronomy and Grain for almost 20 years and are consistently looking for good people, so if you don’t fit the geography or requirements for this position, please email me your resume, as we are aware of many other agricultural opportunities throughout the Midwest and surrounding states.  BCL@agoodjob.com MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
