NERC SYSTEM TRAINER (5290)

NERC System Trainer (5290) Responsibilities:Ensure System Operators remain in compliance with FERC, NERC, WECC and CAISO operating standards/procedures and training requirements. Maintain current status with all changes to regulatory and operational requirements. Develop and update all training requirements conform to those changes. Ensure FERC regulatory compliance with reliability standards pertaining to NERC certified operator training requirements for System Operators. Deliver classroom led instruction of in house and vender NERC approved courses for initial and continual training. Develop NERC required simulations and train/test System Operators on the Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS). Develop in-house training course content with instructor training guides for initial and continual training and obtain and maintain NERC approval for courses and continuing education credits. Track compliance with NERC training requirements and submit applicable compliance reports. Provide assistance in guiding vendor efforts to develop additional detailed training material. Review and revise standard operating documents to support training activities. Provide authorization training to field crews through out the company as needed. Qualifications:Bachelors’ degree preferred. Position requires a detailed knowledge of electric power system operations.  Five years as a NERC certified System Operator and previous experience as an instructor is highly desirable. Must have demonstrated ability to communicate technical information in a clear concise manner to the learning level of the student and have demonstrated ability in decision-making, prioritizing activities, coordination of training activities and multi-tasking. Must be proficient in computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Power Point, etc) and a working knowledge of EMS/SCADA.  Salary:$85,000 - $100,000 (plus bonus and relocation) MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
