Network Engineer- Cisco and / or Enterasys

This client has an immediate need for an experienced Network Engineer. This position is a senior-level position in the IT Department responsible for the design and maintenance of the company's data networks. Responsibilities include ensuring the stability, integrity, and performance of these network services. This is a global organization with many locations. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 8-10 years of experience in network field. Proven experience and success with planning, installing, and managing networks including LAN, MAN, WAN, WiFi, and security (firewalls, VPN, DMZ, IDS, and DWDM) infrastructure. Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices. Strong hands-on knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols and technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP, SIP, H.323, QoS, Multicast and WiFi. Working knowledge of Cisco and Enterasys networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls). Preferred certifications, not required: CCNA/CCNP, CCDA, CCSP.
