Job Description:

 

The Applications System Analyst is responsible for functional and technical Oracle Application support services to internal customers and to participate in upgrade/implementation projects. The position requires both Technical and Functional application support experience.  The Applications System Analyst is also responsible for completing other, non-Oracle projects as assigned by IT management and for reporting project progress and project status against assigned objectives.

  Production of written documentation utilizing various PC programs including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel Design, Develop and Test various reports using SQL/PLSQL, Oracle Reports, or Business Objects Review, scope, estimate efforts to design and program requested system modifications and enhancements Conduct analysis of software patches and perform required system testing Provide testing and support for maintenance weekends and on call support evenings and weekends Research application faults reported by users or otherwise diagnosed and troubleshoot/repair as appropriate Coordinate with vendors as needed for on-going system support and troubleshooting Travel to Internal Customer sites as needed/requested by management

      And other tasks as assigned by management Maintain close working relationship with Internal Customer community to provide guidance/assistance in application of system functionality to internal business processes

 

Required Experience and Skills:

  Bachelor’s Degree required (Accounting, Business or related field) 2+ years of Oracle Application experience in a public company, for profit business environment Experience with Oracle Financial modules required (see list above) Prior accounting kKnowledge and experience, a must Table structure familiarity Oracle Financials 11i.5.x Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Knowledge of accounting and manufacturing business processes and best practices Skilled in the techniques of organization, prioritizing, coordination, and team work Financials (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Applications Desktop Integrator) System Administration (Custom responsibilities, Custom menus, Setup for Custom reports, etc…) Business Objects – Create custom reports, System Administration, Define new objects, tables, etc… RiskMaster (Support Financial Interface, Support on Technical issues)
