Payroll Processor

TITLE: Payroll Processor      JOB DESCRIPTION:Responsible for preparation, distribution and accounting of the weekly and semi-monthly payroll.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1.Responsible for the management and administration of all payroll functions, including processing transactions authorized through employee status change forms and time sheets. 2.Input Employee Time Record Report Information, incentives and other pay information from Manual Rosters. 3.Investigate and resolve distribution and pay discrepancy questions. 4.Provide excellent customer service in regards to payroll questions and other duties 5.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and requirements. 6.Prepare and distribute pay checks and direct deposit advisories. 7.Process all payroll deductions. 8.Balance payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries. 9.Fulfill wage garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings 10.Perform accurate data entry functions.   JOB REQUIREMENTS:1.Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll and tax legislation. 2.High school diploma or equivalent. 3.Minimum 2-5 years prior Payroll experience. 4.Excellent customer service skills 5.Prior Oracle experience a plus 6.Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. 7.Team player, willing to assist others 8.Excellent organizational and communication skills.
