Region Manager - Indianapolis

Opportunity to join one of the leading adult beverage companies in the US. This company has one of the fastest growing product portfolios in the industry and it includes a category leading product.This position will be based in Indianapolis and will be responsible for managing and directing sales and merchandising activities of a group of wholesale distributors in a multi state area as well as developing regional sales and marketing plans to be implemented at the wholesale level. This position will also manage and lead a team that will be based in the metro area.Responsibilities:* Coordinates the activities of wholesalers within assigned area of responsibility insuring the implementation of all sales and marketing programs on the entire portfolio.* Analyzes and evaluates market opportunities through field assessments and market data analysis.* Develops and implements regional market plans at the wholesale level to include the measurement and analysis of distributor performance against objectives.* Directs, develops and manages a 3-4 person sales team.* Motivates and builds commitment with distributor management and sales force to achieve sales objectives, while increasing company's "share of mind" within the distributor organization.* Measures distributor effectiveness in sales, merchandising activities and sales objectives.This company provides a competitive compensation and benefits package, which includes both a long term and short term incentive bonus, 401k, profit sharing, tuition assistance, great health benefits and a company car.Qualifications:* Bachelor degree or equivalent job experience is necessary.* A minimum of three years of consumer product sales and sales management experience is required. Malt beverage or beverage alcohol industry experience is A MUST.* Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills and possess a strong work ethic and leadership aptitude.* Must be a self-starter who is able to work with a minimum amount of direction. Must be able to interface with various levels of management, at wholesale as well as retail.* Having both supplier and wholesaler level experience is preferred.* Must have above average computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.* Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others who are not in a direct reporting relationship.Due to the amount of resumes we receive, we regret that we cannot respond to all applicants.
