A medical device company in the greater Boston area has an immediate need for a Research Scientist for their Product Development efforts with experience in medical device development and design. This position will focus on Wound Care products for one of the largest medical companies in the world. You will determine the future direction for a whole division of a large conglomerate. The company offers an excellent compensation package, great benefits, and a generous relocation package.

 

As Research Manager you will have the opportunity to work with and manage a superb team medical device design professionals. You will oversee people and projects from concept to market, manage the mechanical design group, monitor objectives and set goals, and ensure compliance with FDA and GMP requirements. The ability to mentor and lead a group of product development engineers, interface with corporate executives, talk with surgeons and thought leaders, and lead the product development efforts for this division is essential to your success.

 

Specific experience with wound care products and other devices used in the operating room is a big plus.

 QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD is a requirement

• Successful product development management experience in

medical device product development and R&D

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Complete knowledge of medical device development processes including

PMAs and 510ks.
