ARMED & UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER & SUPERVISOR

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:Screens and assists visitors and customers with a legitimate need to gain entry to the facility, through the admittance process Provides an atmosphere in which all associates, customers and visitors know that the company responds to, and cares about their needs Communicates in a manner that is open, honest, and responsive in all situations Provides pleasant interaction with associates, customers and visitors Provides information as requested by the visitors and/or customers regarding the facility, (general information pertaining to the surrounding area, and any assistance necessary to ensure customer satisfaction).  Tours assigned route checking for unlocked doors, unsafe conditions, security violations, fire hazards, mechanical problems, blocked exits/doors/stairways, unauthorized persons, etc. Logs conditions found in your Daily Activity Report or other report formats Observes and reports any suspicious activity to appropriate security/management representative Assures that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements Enforces regulations designed to prevent breaches of security. Exercises judgment and uses discretion in dealing with the emergencies and security violations

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST have or be:

· a U.S. citizen

· at least 18 years of age

· a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

· able to meet state/county licensing requirements for Security Officers

· excellent verbal and written communication skills

· courteous telephone manner and customer service skills

· the ability to successfully complete a background check, personality assessment and drug screen

·  able to obtain a government security clearance
