Senior Accounting Analyst

91036 Prestigious university in NYC has an immediate need for a Senior Accounting Analyst with at least 5 years of experience! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity! Responsibilities include creating and posting journal entries for new bond issuances, GL maintenance, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis. Must Have: BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and debits & credits. GL maintenance. Month-end, year-end close experience. Financial statement preparation. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables & lookups). Audit prep experience.Pluses: CPA or any public accounting experience. Fixed asset accounting. Experience with debt accounting and bond issuance. Experience with Peoplesoft.
