Senior Investment Data Analyst

72096 Top-tier institutional asset manager in Boston is looking to hire an experienced Senior Data Analyst who will be a key member of Investment Data Services team, provide tactical and strategic data related business analysis and project management to the entire firm. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem solving and project management skills, solid technical abilities, and several years of experience working with security reference, derived, fundamental, and analytic data. This individual must excel within both a team and individual contributor environment. Fixed income and/or derivative related experience is required. Job Responsibilities and Project Management Responsibilities including responsibility for integration into business processes: Work directly with Investment Professionals, Information Services, Trading, Global Relationship Management, and Compliance. Diagnose high-risk data exceptions and recommend controls to ensure data accuracy. Work with Market Data Services to identify and evaluate new vendor products. Provide business analysis for various firm wide projects. Job Qualifications: Advanced Fixed Income and Derivatives instrument knowledge. Must be able to work independently and without supervision. Minimum 7 years of business analysis and project experience, preferably in a financial services environment. Degree in Finance, Information Science, or related discipline. Advanced knowledge of tools and techniques for presenting and analyzing data including; SQL, Access, Excel, relational databases and data marts. Working knowledge of data vendor products (e.g. - Bloomberg, Yield Book*). Experience with security master data (security reference, derived, fundamental, and analytic data) and workflows associated with maintaining the data. Experience working with investment professionals and technical resources. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills .
