Senior QA Analyst

91643 Successful, international firm seeks a Senior QA that is passionate about automation. In this role, you must quickly troubleshoot and diagnose issues within th e quality assurance environment and communicate that knowledge to a varied audience of technical and non-techn ical stakeholders. To qualify, you must have experience delivering working software to production through the entire lifecycle. You *must* possess the advanced ability to create objects and method s, and hand- coded test script s using automated testing too ls. The interview process will entail a rigorous hands-on exercise. Since y ou will be the most senior tester on the team, will be responsible for mentoring more junior QA members. REQUIREMENTS: 3-5 years of Silktest or Quick Test Professional . Ability to write in-house production tools or test harnesses with a modern programming language, preferably Java/J unit, is a strong plus. Advanced knowledge of reusable coding patterns and object oriented pradigms, and SQL and relational datab ases required. Familiarity with UNIX including shell scripting; good understanding of XML, H TML, JavaScript and scripting languages. Experience in an iterative development environment using Scr um-like methodologies. Strong u nderstanding of source code control (CVS). E xperience configuring application servers (such as Apache or Tomcat) in multiple environments (Linux, Windows, Solaris, etc.) . Experience testing both client- server, and web based applications. Proven e xperience with designing and implementing automated load tests for d atabase-backed applications. Proven exp erience delivering multiple versions of one or more applications. Knowledge of financial securities and trading principles a plus. Experience mentoring junior associates. Local candidate with stable work history strongly preferred.
