Sr Product Development Engineer

Our client is a leading producer of packaging materials used in both consumer and industrial markets.  They offer the ability to contribute to the improvement and development of existing and new products while working in a stable environment.  You will be provided a competitive compensation package, a comprehensive benefit package and the opportunity for continued professional growth and responsibilities. As the Sr. Product Development Engineer, you will work directly with both outside customers as well as internal departments to manage product development, product qualification and maintain the quality of the current business.  Projects assigned to this advanced position are of considerable variety and complexity. Key duties and responsibilities include:  Determining new and revised packaging requirements Recommending material components and blends for LLDPE films Identifying design control & commercial sampling and testing requirements Coordinating trial order entry to evaluate new or revised film blends Establishing and maintaining film properties specifications Communicating directly with customers, suppliers and other internal departments in support of project management Supporting CAR/PAR activities relative to compliant resolution Supporting ISO and Six Sigma objectives Providing technical support to field service engineering, sales, marketing and customers as needed in troubleshooting existing products, enhancing existing products and development of new products To be considered for this key role, you must have:  Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Engineering Minimum 5 years related job experience in a manufacturing setting Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to analyze, problem solve and generate new ideas Ability to travel when necessary MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
