EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Personnel Coordinator PositionNorthwest Staffing Resources is accepting resumes for Personnel Coordinator position for two Portland metro area branches. This individual will greet applicants, answer telephones and route calls, manage the application process, enter and process weekly temporary payroll, assist with placing employees on positions, employee relations issues and recruiting functions. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Greet applicants in a professional and courteous manner. Answer telephones and route calls. Set appointments and manage calendar. Assist applicants through the application process. Supervise applicants in the completion of paperwork, or online application. Administer skill assessments to applicants and input scores into database. Review all application materials for proper completion, confirm signatures and enter information into database. Distribute or mail payroll flyers, birthday cards, etc. Complete candidate reference checking within timely manner. Record, mail and distribute temporary employee paychecks Mail employee paychecks from NSR in timely manner (close of business on Wed & Fri). Pick-up and deliver checks to client locations. Investigate/Research payroll issues/problems and refer to Branch Manager (Branch Manager). Mail out client invoices. Copy and mail out weekly forms (WOTC, Employee medical insurance, etc) Accurate filing of applications, I-9 documentation and other forms in a timely manner. Assist with interviewing and/or orientation of applicants as needed. Process and distribute incoming mail. Order office supplies. Comply with NSR policies and procedures at all times. If needed, assist with data entry of temporary employee payroll. Route time cards to other branches if necessary. Customer care as needed. Assist Recruiter, Account Executive or Branch Manager with client promotions or other projects. Research/Investigate companies through the internet, prospect information, or dead files to assist Recruiter and Account Executive with marketing. Respond in a timely and professional manner to general requests for information. Complete weekly reports as required. Participate in the branch safety committee. All other duties as assigned. Must be able to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and must be congenial and work well with other employees, applicants, clients, etc. Must be willing to share skills, job knowledge and ideas.SUMMARY Personnel CoordinatorPurpose To support the branch in the operation of the office.Scope Responsible for the application process, payroll and assisting other staff members.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSRequired Administer all aspects of the pre-employment process in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Coordinate office activities to ensure optimum efficiency.EDUCATION Required High School diplomaPreferred Bachelor’s degreeEXPERIENCE Required 2+ years of general office supportPreferred Administrative office experience and/or customer service experience that combines independent functioning and office support in a fast-paced environment.WORKING CONDITIONSUsual Professional office environment. Uses PC, telephones, word processing and other standard office equipment. Some driving may be required.Special Must be able to work with inflexible deadlines and handle moderate stress levels.
